These terms cover switchboardcompany.com and the text-message program operated by The Switchboard Company on behalf of its client businesses.

SMS messaging program

Switchboard OS sends text messages on behalf of local businesses — gyms, athletic clubs, and similar — to people who have asked that business to contact them.

How people opt in. A person enters their own mobile number into a form on the client business's website — such as a free day-pass or contact form — or provides it to the website chat assistant, and agrees to be contacted about their enquiry. We do not message people who have not provided their own number, and we never buy, rent, or import purchased phone number lists.

What is sent. A reply to the enquiry, a small number of follow-up messages about it, reminders about a visit or booking the person asked about, and — if they become a member or customer — an invitation to leave a review.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies by enquiry. Most recipients receive a handful of messages at most.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Neither Switchboard nor the client business charges for the messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.

How to stop. Reply STOP to any message and messaging stops immediately. One confirmation of unsubscribe is sent. CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPTOUT, and REVOKE also work.

Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy. How information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
